 In July, 2006, Mickie and Rendi Kelly and their children, Weston and Jessi, arrived in Santaquin, Utah from Oklahoma to fulfill a call from the Lord to minister here.  In September of that same year they started a Bible study group in their home.  By December, 2006, the attendance had grown quickly and Crossings Church was established.  Many families now regularly attend and support Crossings as their home church.

In 2004 Mickie Kelly graduated with a bachelors degree from Idaho State University in human resources.  He is currently working toward his Masters of Missions at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Center.   In the past he has served as a youth pastor, and also has pastored four churches previous to coming to Utah.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  In his words......                                                                                                                                                           "In all that I have been able to experience and see, nothing has impacted me quite as much as the privilege I had to be involved with planting a church in Idaho a few years ago.  I am so thankful that God doesn’t ask our permission for what He wants to do; if that had been the case, I would not have engaged in such a mysterious venture.  Now, I can’t imagine doing anything else with the life God has given me.    

When the Lord called me into ministry 15 years ago, I eagerly embraced the opportunity.  There were hard lessons learned, but after my first successful church plant, I realized I didn’t fit anywhere else but into this kind of ministry.  To sum it up, the Lord has made it pointedly clear what I am to do and where I am to do it.  I have the desire to invest my life in the ministry in the southern Utah County area.  My family and I are ready and willing to join God in doing what only He can do to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to people of this area.”
